HealthCorps, founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz and his wife Lisa Oz, has been a transformative force in youth health education for the past 20 years. With a mission inspired by the PeaceCorps, HealthCorps recruits energetic young adults to serve as coordinators in high schools across the United States. These coordinators are dedicated to empowering teens to lead healthier lives and develop mental resilience, ultimately helping them to create brighter futures.
Nick Lowery is partnering with Dr. Oz to augment his work helping launch AmeriCorps (for President Clinton with his friend Colonel Rob Gordon) with Dr. Oz’s powerful HealthCorps program. This collaboration aims to bring a new era of health to the next generation, exemplified by an event in Phoenix at Kenilworth Elementary School, the day after the 2024 Chiefs’ Super Bowl Victory. Read more about Dr. Oz’s visit and the HealthCorps partnership.
Through its efforts, HealthCorps has raised $80 million, impacting millions of teens and operating in over 250 schools nationwide. The organization focuses on eliminating health inequity by addressing community-level disparities through educational programming, leadership experiences, and service learning.
Nick is proud to work with Dr. Oz in promoting HealthCorps. He joins in supporting this powerful charity, recognizing the urgent need to help today’s teens, who are facing unprecedented challenges in their physical, behavioral, and social health. Without intervention, these challenges can lead to serious issues such as mental illness, substance abuse, chronic diseases, and reduced life expectancy.
Please join Dr. Oz, Nick Lowery, and many others in supporting HealthCorps and its mission to improve the health and well-being of our youth. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of the next generation.
