HealthCorps, founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz and his wife Lisa Oz, has been a transformative force in youth health education for the past 20 years. With a mission inspired by the PeaceCorps, HealthCorps recruits energetic young adults to serve as coordinators in high schools across the United States. These coordinators are dedicated to empowering teens to lead healthier lives and develop mental resilience, ultimately helping them to create brighter futures.
Nick is partnering with Dr Oz to augment Nick’s work helping launch Americorps (for President Clinton with his friend Colonel Rob Gordon) with Dr Oz’ powerful HealthCorps program to bring a new era of health to the next generation, exemplified the day after the 2024 Chiefs’ Super Bowl Victory by this event in Phoenix at Kennilworth Elementary School.
Through its efforts, HealthCorps has raised $80 million, impacting millions of teens and operating in over 250 schools nationwide. The organization focuses on eliminating health inequity by addressing community-level disparities through educational programming, leadership experiences, and service learning.
Nick is proud to work with Dr. Oz in promoting HealthCorps. He joins in supporting this powerful charity, recognizing the urgent need to help today’s teens, who are facing unprecedented challenges in their physical, behavioral, and social health. Without intervention, these challenges can lead to serious issues such as mental illness, substance abuse, chronic diseases, and reduced life expectancy.
Please join Dr. Oz, Nick Lowery, and many others in supporting HealthCorps and its mission to improve the health and well-being of our youth.
