Bringing Hope and Humanity to Phoenix’s Homeless Community: Champions for the Homeless 68th Edition

CHAMPIONS FOR THE HOMELESS

“Christmas in July” Sunday July 28th, 9.30am

Our Summer “Christmas in July” 68th Champions for the Homeless this July 28th Sunday at St Vincent de Paul, where it has resided and celebrated, encouraged and empowered over 100,000 homeless brothers and sisters over the last 18 years with the help of Steve Zabilski, Shannon Clancy, Jerry Castro, Danielle McMahon, Tony Alvarado and St Vincent’s outstanding team.

We are thrilled to announce the 69th edition of Champions for the Homeless, a heartfelt initiative under the Nick Lowery Foundation, founded 18 years ago by former NFL star Nick Lowery. This compassionate program, in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul, has organized super celebrity volunteer events to provide essential support and foster a sense of community for the homeless population in Phoenix.

Through these events, Champions for the Homeless distributes meals, clothing, and gift cards, bringing much-needed resources and genuine care to those experiencing homelessness. Nick Lowery’s dedication through this foundation not only meets immediate needs but also delivers a powerful message of love, hope, and belonging to individuals who often feel marginalized.

With the increasing number of people without homes in Maricopa County, the impact of these events has become even more significant. Champions for the Homeless offers vital assistance and reaffirms that everyone matters in the fabric of society.

We are looking for volunteers to join us in making a difference. If you would like to help, please click on the Volunteer link at the top of the page and become part of this meaningful cause. Together, we can bring hope and humanity to those who need it most.

Nick Lowery’s Visit to Flagstaff for El Bandido Yankee Tequila Tasting

Nick Lowery recently enjoyed a refreshing getaway from the heat, introducing Flagstaff, Arizona, to El Bandido Yankee Tequila on Saturday, July 13, 2024. During his visit, Nick took in the natural beauty of the Evergreen forests of Bellemont, staying in a luxury cabin just 100 yards from the pool, hot tub, and clubhouse in Belmont near Flagstaff.

The experience was truly rejuvenating. At an elevation of 7,200 feet, the cool, clean air of the forests, 23 degrees cooler than the heat below, provided a welcome escape. Surrounded by green mountains, rolling thunder, and rain that cleansed the dusty air, Nick found solace in the natural beauty. Hiking through the serene landscape offered a healthy and restorative escape, perfectly complemented by the El Bandido Yankee Tequila tasting.

It was a memorable few days, highlighting the perfect blend of nature, luxury, and fine tequila..
